Writing Pages

Pages are for fixed content on your site
Pages are for static content only – information that never, or rarely changes. hey do not cycle on and off the front page, but have a fixed place they will live on your website. You can edit an old page if something changes, or write a new page to reflect the new information.
You can create a new page by clicking Write in the menubar and selecting Pages from the submenu instead of Posts. If you need to change information in an existing page and you are logged in and authorized to make changes to that page, you should see an Edit link somewhere above or below the page. Clicking this will take you in to the Scriblio edit function immediately.
Here is a Write Page example with numbered steps indicating how you can fill it out.

- Choose a title for your page. This will appear in bold above the page itself. Be brief and descriptive. Do not duplicate the first sentence of the page.
- Write the page. Writing for the web is a little different than writing for print. Use shorter paragraphs and hyperlink when referring to other web content. Here are some other tips.
- You can use standard editing tools to make text bold or italicized.
- You can create links by selecting text and clicking the link button
- You can include blockquotes or excerpts using the b-quote button
- If you want to add an image to your post, you can use this file uploader. Click Browse to select a file from your computer. Add a title and description. Click Upload. You can then decide how to add the image to your post — as either a full image or just a clickable link to your image. Note: not all sites support uploading images.
- Many options related to the page can be viewed and changed using the tools that appear in this column. Click the “+” to expand the tool.
When you are done creating your post, you have two options: Save or Publish. Clicking Publish will make the page go live on the site immediately. Clicking Save will save your page as a draft and you can come back to it later. If you click on Save and Continue Editing, Scriblio will save your draft and you can continue to work on your page.
